Bullet Journal becomes more and more popular every single day. Why? What’s the difference between a planner or an electronic one and a Bullet Journal? Well, Bullet Journal is a notebook that will transform your life, in more ways than you can imagine.
Bullet Journal is all at once: it can be a planner, bucket list, calendar, habit tracker and all other things your heart wants. If you have seen hundreds of Bullet Journal pictures on Pinterest and thought ‘oh my God, it looks so complicated, how can I do this?’ then this step-by-step guide is for you.
Bullet Journal is not complicated, it’s a really easy and fun thing to do!
Great! Now we’re ready to start! In this article, I’ll give you an entire system for you to start up. A Bullet Journal has the following parts:
- Index
- Key
- Future Log
- Monthly Spreads
- Weekly or Daily Spreads
- Other Collections
Bullet Journal Index
Before starting writing anything else, number your pages if they are not numbered yet. In some notebooks, the pages are already numbered for you. You need it for a quick way to find the exact page that you need.
The index is a page where you write the number of the page and what’s on that page so that you could quickly find it in the future when your Bullet Journal is full:)
Here are some ideas for you:

Bullet Journal Key
The Key is a legend of your bullet journal. Instead of writing the full words “completed” or “done” you can use symbols and icons. They’re easy to write and super cute!

Bullet Journal Future Log
Here you record holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, & other special occasions. It’s like a calendar but more detailed

Monthly spreads
Spread is a page for something specific in a Bullet Journal. The monthly spread is a big-picture plan for each month. You can write there your plans and goals for a month, special occasions, doctor or other appointments.

Weekly and daily spreads
This section highlights what you would like to achieve each week and day. Basically, you write there your daily and weekly plans and to-do lists

Other collections
In addition to previous sections you can keep other collections in your BuJo (a short form of Bullet Journal). For example, you can track your new healthy habits (called Habit tracker) or your everyday mood and feelings (Mood tracker).
On a special page, you may write new movies or books you would like to watch or read.
Also, in BuJo you can track your finances, how much money you spend, earned or saved in the exact time.
There are more and more ideas: fitness tracker, study tracker, bucket list, travel page, relationships page, meal plan, personal development page and self-care, gratitude page, your thoughts, how you spent your day and even more!
Here are some ideas for your creative juices flowing!

Hope you got inspired enough and ready to start your own Bullet Journal!
